13th annual ELSIN conference hosted by Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School
24 Jan 2008
“Style and cultural
differences: how can organisations, regions and countries take advantage of
style differences?”
Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School is pleased to host the 13th annual conference of the European Learning Styles Information Network (ELSIN). Central theme is ‘How can organisations, regions and countries take advantage of style differences’. This unique conference will take place on 23, 24 and 25 June 2008 at our Ghent Campus.
Participants
We expect more than 100 academics and practitioners from all over the world. This international conference will provide a forum for academics, researchers, trainers and practitioners in the fields of education, psychology, business, computer science, information systems, management, human resources and other related fields to exchange recent scientific results, knowledge and experiences about the theory and application of learning and cognitive styles and strategies of learning and thinking.
Programme
The programme will consist of invited lectures, workshops, symposia, and paper sessions. The conference will provide many opportunities for practitioners and researchers to exchange ideas, knowledge, and concerns about styles and strategies of learning and thinking. A scientific and a social programme will be foreseen. In addition to paper presentations, we aim to include workshops and symposia in the programme where scholars and practitioners can be inspired by colleagues. This way, an active discussion forum will be provided.
