Vlerick to treat Agoria prize winner to training programme
There’s light at the end of the tunnel for students working hard to meet the approaching thesis deadline. For the one who submits the winning thesis for this year’s Agoria Prize – a prize for technological research and innovation – the reward could be very large indeed. Not only is there a cheque for €500, but the winner may also participate in Vlerick Business School’s “Executive Master Class in Innovation & Entrepreneurship” - at a value of €9,495. In this programme a business idea is developed into a business plan in four modules, culminating in a presentation to a jury. An exceptional opportunity, and without a doubt a terrific career boost!
The Agoria Prize is an initiative of Agoria, Belgium’s largest trade association for the technology industry, in collaboration with Scriptie vzw, which awards the prestigious annual Flemish Thesis Prize. Since 2008, contestants for the Flemish Thesis Prize who have written a thesis with a technological perspective can automatically compete for the Agoria Prize. Via this prize, Agoria spotlights research by young scientists.
How to participate
You can participate in the Flemish Thesis Prize and the Agoria Prize 2013 until 6 October by uploading your thesis – accompanied by a journalistic article – via www.scriptieprijs.be. A jury will assess the theses and articles for their technological value, newsworthiness, readability and linguistic usage. In a second phase, a shortlist of three nominees will compete against each other in a presentation before the Agoria jury, in which Vlerick Business School will also be represented.
