In order to reinforce the IT team, we are currently looking for a Senior System Engineer - Infrastructure Manager.
Responsibilities
As Senior System Engineer - Infrastructure Manager, you will assume the responsibility of the entire infrastructure environment of the Vlerick Management School.
- You will analyse the needs of the organisation in terms of infrastructure
and translate them into concrete projects.
- In this context, you will be in charge of analysis, design, implementation,
documentation and third level support.
- You’ll be in charge of installation, upgrades, migration and maintenance of
the server park.
- You’ll be in charge of data security, clients, servers, network and network
services.
- You’ll be responsible for the LAN/WAN infrastructure and physical connections.
- You’ll be in charge of third line support for server and network problems.
- Moreover, you’ll assume budget responsibilities and you will lead a team of
two colleagues. You will report to the IT Manager within a flat structure.
Profile
For the position of Senior System Engineer - Infrastructure Manager, we are looking for an IT professional with broad professional experience in IT systems and infrastructure.
- You have earned a higher education degree in the field of IT and you have
at least three years of relevant experience. Additional certificates are extra
assets.
- You have hands-on experience with a wide range of infrastructure technology,
like server management, Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare, antivirus, back-up
management, …
- You have a thorough experience with the TCP/IP stack, network technologies,
routing & switching, security, …
- You have experience with the management and coordination of infrastructure
projects. Knowledge of project methodology is an asset.
- Linguistic skills: thorough knowledge of English is required.
- Personality: you are a true problem-solver. You have a “get the job done”
attitude and you enjoy developing concrete projects – in collaboration with your
colleagues. You are able to manage your team and projects proactively and with a
focus on results.
