School structure

Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School is organised as a professional service organisation. This is most clearly reflected in the partnership between the academic staff and the alumni, which forms the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors governs the School and is guided and supervised by the General Council. The Board of Directors delegates the management of the School to an Executive Committee and a Management Committee. In addition, there are the Academic Council and the College of Programme Directors and Coordinators.

The governance and organisational structures are illustrated below. They should be seen as a matrix, with the activities or business units (degree programmes, management development programmes, and research) and a number of staff functions on the one hand, and the five competence centres on the other hand.
