The innovation research platform aims to promote transdisciplinary research to foster collaboration across competence centres. Doing so requires a sound epistemological foundation. In this brown bag we contrast two research paradigms (Mode 1 versus Mode 2) and discuss their rationale and application potential in the field of innovation management research.
