Corporate Social Responsibility
The School also focuses on the increasingly important field of Corporate Social Responsibility as its third spearhead for internationalisation. Management is not operating in a vacuum. More and more, society is imposing new expectations on business. It is not only an issue of growing importance for the academic world, but also for business people and politicians. Companies are seeking ways to mainstream Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into their business processes and are trying to respond to their stakeholders’ needs. We believe that, as an academic management school, we have a fundamental role to play in the ongoing debate and in conducting research to bring more clarification with regard to the complex issues of Corporate Social Responsibility. Moreover, it is our role to develop concepts that can assist companies in enacting the new requirements on Corporate Social Responsibility. Through the Impulse Centre Business in Society, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School is a founding partner of the European Academy of Business in Society (EABIS) together with Ashridge, Copenhagen Business School, Cranfield School of Management, ESADE Business School, INSEAD, London Business School, Warwick Business School.
