Strategy
Most companies have a strategy, but only some of them have a strategy that actually works and allows the company to outperform their competitors. Building a successful strategy is not easy, it requires more than creating a clear blueprint of where the company is heading. Do you want to know how we can help your company with an overall methodology that helps you address these challenges step by step? Take a look at our new programme Strategy in Action.
“Every great company has implemented a great strategy. And behind every great strategy is a great leader.” (Kurt Verweire, Professor Strategy)
Competitive strategy, corporate strategy, strategic analysis, strategic context, international business − the knowledge gained in all of these important areas is translated into research publications, strategic training sessions, and the strategy courses in all our MBA and Masters programmes.

Managing for performance excellence
Regine Slagmulder, Kurt Verweire & Koen Dewettinck
Lannoo, 2012, 300 p. - ISBN 978-9-020979-26-8 -
2010/13 - Internationalization strategy and performance of small and medium sized enterprises
Authors: Sleuwaegen, L., Onkelinx, J.
Focusing on the timing and geographical scope of import and export activities of Belgian small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), the paper analyzes the importance, structural features and performance implications of firms that recently started to export following the geographical configuration of their international trade operations and their year of establishment. -
2010/06 - Low-cost import competition. Do small firms respond differently?
Authors: Colantone, I., Coucke, K., Sleuwaegen, L.
I have been reading the report on the Operational Excellence study. It is
very interesting to learn what it means to be "operational excellent" as a
company.
Also for a Shared Service Center, as in our case, it is a very valuable document
when you do the transposition to the context of a Shared Service Center (which
is not so hard to do).
The benchmark score card gives a good indication on the strong points and on the
improvement opportunities.
