Why a Centre for Excellence in Strategic Rewards?

The aim of the Centre for Excellence in Strategic Rewards is to develop the strategic dimension of reward management by taking into account business drivers and employee expectations for the development of reward systems. Rewarding is considered to be an important management tool to enhance business performance. Besides knowledge creation and transfer, the centre establishes a business platform for exchanging experiences. As such, it is thé reward management network. The Centre for Excellence in Strategic Rewards is set to become recognised for these activities within the international academic and business reward communities.

What is a 'Centre for Excellence'?

A Vlerick Centre for Excellence is a collaborative effort between Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and a network of companies in a specific management domain, anchored in existing competencies of the School. In the Centre for Excellence in Strategic Rewards, new management concepts are developed and tested; existing management concepts are improved, updated and adapted to the ever-changing environment; knowledge is shared and transferred among the network of member organisations. This gives partners and members the opportunity to keep up to speed with state-of-the-art theory and practice. Additionally, partners and members can benefit from numerous networking opportunities where the transfer of information and the sharing of experiences is a central process.
