1. Flanders District of Creativity in short

Flanders DC is the Flemish organisation for entrepreneurial creativity, established by the Flemish Government. Flanders DC’s mission is to make enterprising Flanders more creative and to make creative Flanders more entrepreneurial. Entrepreneurial creativity is not an end in itself for Flanders DC but a means to ensure growing prosperity and a continued job creation.

Flanders DC builds knowledge, raises awareness and designs practical tools for anyone wishing to launch a creative and enterprising project, and focuses on entrepreneurs, teachers, students, policy-makers and the general public.

Flanders Fashion Institute (FFI) is part of Flanders DC and stimulates entrepreneurship in the fashion industry in Flanders, guides designers in their career and promotes Flemish fashion in the national and international scene.

2. Flanders DC brings knowledge on entrepreneurial creativity to companies and institutions.

To this end Flanders DC established its Knowledge Centre, with Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School as a key partner.

The Flanders DC Knowledge Centre aims at increasing the knowledge about how creativity and innovation can successfully be translated into economic output in the context of the Flemish international entrepreneurial environment.

The Flanders DC Knowledge Centre used this knowledge to design methodologies that can be used within concrete business environments, the field of education and/or the government, so as to offer the end user direct added value. This results, among other things, in studies, (online) tools, workshops, training sessions, Creativity Talks and “Executive Briefings”.

Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School focuses on Making Entrepreneurial Flanders more Creative, and deals with the central themes that lead from human capital to economic growth, better competitiveness and more prosperity.
