Centres for Excellence

Strong interaction between theory and practice

One of Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School’s key objectives is to help the business community apply new knowledge. With this in mind, it has developed two unique concepts: Centres for Excellence and Chairs.

The Centres for Excellence are partnerships between a number of organisations and the School, while a Chair is a one-to-one relationship between a faculty member and a supporting company. Within these research for business initiatives, common problem themes are researched and new management concepts and analysis frameworks are developed, tested and implemented. One essential aspect is the open dialogue and interaction between the participating organisations.
