Investing strategically in six multidisciplinary research platforms

Vlerick is dedicating itself in the coming years to the development of six multidisciplinary Research Platforms:

• Performance management
• Risk management
• Sustainable enterprises and corporate social responsibility (CSR)
• Leadership development and coaching
• Entrepreneurship
• Innovation management

The research platforms bring our research together to form a single multidisciplinary whole that promotes the School’s research work to maximum effect. Research knowledge that was until now correlated but dispersed across the school will now be better amalgamated.

Through the Research Platforms, Vlerick has opted to distinguish itself in research domains it can fully exploit. The research has to be relevant to the business community and be undertaken in consultation with the parent universities and the international community. It also has to form a basis for new, outstanding training programmes and provide the subject matter for a possible new Chair for the School.
