Who’ll be the best female entrepreneur of the year? (02 Feb 2012)

Anne Chapelle, Greetje Demuelenaere, Daniëlle Vanwesenbeeck and Liese Verhaeghe are the four finalists for the 13th edition of the Womed Award. Womed – Women in Enterprise and Development – is an initiative of mabizz, the entrepreneurs network for women from markant, and UNIZO in collaboration with Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, KBC and Trends.

Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School keeps up its progress amongst other European schools in the 2012 Financial Times Full-time MBA ranking (30 Jan 2012)

After a steep climb of 32 places last year, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School has backed up 15 places in the 2012 Financial Times Full-time MBA Ranking. The School went from the 55^th position in the world – its highest position ever achieved – to number 70. However, when we merely consider the School’s position within Europe the change was minor, even rising 1 place to number 17 as compared to last year’s 18^th position.

AMBA accreditation extended by five years (18 Jan 2012)

The International Accreditation Advisory Board of the Association of MBAs (AMBA) has recently extended its accreditation of Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School’s MBA programme portfolio for five years. Having received the AMBA accreditation for the first time in 2001, this is the third time in a row that the AMBA committee grants a full five year extension.

Successful start of the Vlerick Modular MBA (17 Jan 2012)

Last week, Vlerick’s Modular International MBA (MEMBA) Programme set off with no less than 45 new students. An absolute record, since the programme has averaged 31 participants for the past three years. This jump in the number of participants clearly illustrates the growing demand for modular MBA programmes.

EQUIS accreditation extended by five years (11 Jan 2012)

The EQUIS Awarding Body has voted to confer the EQUIS accreditation label upon Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School for a further period of five years. By doing so Vlerick is now part of a select group of only 15 business schools that have received an unconditional full five-year accreditation for three times in a row.

Vlerick professor Alexander Yanchevsky was voted ‘Number 1 Manager’ by his peers (10 Jan 2012)

Recently, Russian managers were asked by the leading Russian business newspaper ‘Kommersant’ to rate their colleagues in the region of St. Petersburg and area. As for the sector ‘Business Education’ Vlerick professor Alexander Yanchevsky was voted the “Number 1 Manager” by his peers.

Leveraging your ecosystem for growth and innovation (21 Dec 2011)

Did you know that this medical breakthrough is the result of diverse industries teaming up for strategic innovation? How can you source innovation by developing a network outside your organisation? Vlerick teamed up with the University of Cambridge Judge Business School to create the new international programme 'Strategising for Innovation'.

Vlerick closed during the Christmas holidays (15 Dec 2011)
