Vlerick remains partner of choice for management training
Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School has consolidated its position in the
Financial Times Ranking 2009 for Executive Education. The
School has confirmed its position as number 1 in the
Benelux and retained its place within the top 15 in
Europe. On a global scale the School has evolved into
maintaining a fixed top forty spot, being listed as
32nd (an increase of 2 positions in comparison to
34th place last year).
The ranking for Executive Education is composed of open general management
training, such as Young, Middle, Advanced and International Management
(participants who follow a general management programme) on the one hand and
internal programmes (specialist programmes tailored to companies) on
the other.
Patrick De Greve, General Director: “This is a good performance in these economically turbulent times and underlines our sustainable and qualitative development in a highly competitive, global market. The score also further confirms the trust placed by our participants and alumni in the School as their preferred long-term partner for advanced Executive Education".
Various criteria are taken into consideration in creating the rankings. The School scores particularly well in the use and relevance of its training programmes and is in global 7th position for internal training programmes. This result was achieved on the basis of the participants' feedback when asked whether they would consider Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School again in the future for management courses and whether they would follow the chosen programme again.
Last year a total of 7181 entrepreneurs and managers followed courses at Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School. In 2004 that figure hovered around 5000. Both international as well as local companies, such as AGC, Aliaxis, Atlas Copco, Bayer, Bekaert, Belgacom, Bostik, Deloitte, Dexia, Electrabel, Fortis, InBev, SAS, Siemens, Swift and Umicore send their managers to the School.
