Peter Rafferty, Director of International Business, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School: “We note the slight decline in the rankings which are caused as much by movements in the position of others as by changes in our own performance. We continue to monitor our position and follow our stated ambition of being amongst the best European schools. This year’s ranking reconfirms our achievements in that regard.”

Methodology

For the seventh year in a row the Financial Times has produced a ranking of European business schools. This meta-ranking is based on the results of five FT Business Education rankings published this year:

  • the full-time MBA ranking (January)
  • the Executive MBA ranking (October)
  • the Masters in Management ranking (September)
  • the open enrolment executive education ranking (May)
  • the customised executive education ranking (May)

The FT European Business School ranking takes into account the number of programmes ranked by the FT for each school and the quality of these programmes.
