European Home Improvement Forum invites Herman Van den Broeck as keynote speaker

Prof Dr Herman Van den Broeck was a keynote speaker at the 1st European Home Improvement Forum 2010 in Vienna (10-11 June), which was jointly hosted by the two leading professional organizations EDRA (European DIY-Retail Association) and fediyma (European Federation of DIY manufacturers). Within the session “An international perspective – new markets and opportunities”, Herman Van den Broeck addressed the audience about: “Dealing with emotions: companies and their emotional intelligence”. 

This congress represented the first event where retailers and manufacturers from the home improvement and garden centre industry are offered the opportunity for an exchange of views on current developments within the European market. At this forum Sir Geoffrey Mulcahy (CEO of Kingfisher Plc.) received the first European DIY-Lifetime Award, celebrating a person who has decisively influenced the European DIY sector over recent decades.
