Vlerick has been granted a BelSpo Research Project

The competence centres ‘Accounting & Finance’ and ‘Entrepreneurship, Governance & Strategy’ at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School have been granted a BelSpo Research Project (Federal Science Policy Office), starting in March 2011 and running until April 2014. Only two out of ten competing proposals were selected. This project will enable the School to finance 2 PhD students.

The theme of the research project is “Access to finance for SMEs: young growth oriented companies and company takeovers”. Vlerick professor Sophie Manigart is promotor and Vlerick professor Miguel Meuleman is co-promotor, together with Bart Clarysse (Ghent University), Georges Hübner (Université de Liège) and Mike Wright (Nottingham University).
