Vlerick professor Peter Verhezen wins Richard J. Davis Ethics Award

Peter Verhezen, Adjunct Professor of Leadership & Organisation, Governance and Ethics at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, has been selected as the winner of the 2011 Richard J. Davis Ethics Award. He receives this award for his article “Giving Voice in a Culture of Silence, From a Culture of Compliance to a Culture of Integrity” that appeared in the Journal of Business Ethics. The award is annually handed out by IMCA, the Investment Management Consultants Association. Professor Verhezen will receive the award during a special ceremony at the IMCA 2011 Annual Conference in Las Vegas.

The Richard J. Davis Ethics Award honours the author(s) of an article that has made a significant contribution to advancing the understanding and knowledge of investment management consulting and/or private wealth management in the area of ethics, and/or the fiduciary, legal, or regulatory issues that affect these professional practices. The award first was presented in 2004. Previous recipients include the following: John Bogle, Joseph Holt, Gordon Marino, Elizabeth Piper/Bach, CIMA®, Robert Prentice, and Meir Statman.
