The key to the success of Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School’s academic programmes is their practical applicability, and it is the School’s applied management research that helps ensure the programmes enjoy the right balance of theory and practice. In October 2009, the School is launching the Research Café, an interactive meeting place for people from various backgrounds and businesses to discuss current topics that are being studied in the School’s various knowledge domains.

Each evening session combines a presentation of the results of a faculty’s research with the hands-on experience of an invited speaker from business. The programme comprises 5 sessions covering sales management, buyer-supplier relationships, remuneration policy, engaging generation Y, and risk management.

The programme costs €65 per session including refreshments, with alumni association members benefiting from a 30% discount. The first session on the topic of Sales Management will take place on 29 October at the Ghent Campus.
