How to give your dream wings?

“When I was little, my dream was to enter the aviation industry,” says Kevin Constant (Masters in General Management, 2012). It was logical that he should develop this early passion: he grew up in Zaventem, where Brussels Airport is located, and both his father and grandfather had enjoyed careers with Sabena, now Brussels Airlines.

Today, Kevin is very pleased to have realised his childhood dream. He works for Brussels Airlines as the Gambia country manager − responsible for activities ranging from developing the commercial strategy, to overseeing budgets and managing people, to working with the Gambian tourist board to attract more travellers to that beautiful, friendly country.

Performing his multi-faceted job in Gambia requires an all-round business skill set. So, to supplement his Masters degree in International Studies, Kevin enrolled in Vlerick’s General Management programme − which developed him in so many areas that he regards his Vlerick Masters as “the last key to opening the door to my aviation dream”.

“A Vlerick programme keeps you busy from early morning to late at night − and during all that time you are surrounded by amazing people! In one year, you make friends for life. My ambition now is to continue to develop myself, take advantage of new opportunities, and grow and do more.” Kevin’s career has clearly taken off − and his Vlerick mind-set puts him in the pilot’s seat!
