Flexible learning formats

From 1-day events to programmes spanning a number of months, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School delivers courses with a variety of formats and levels of customisation.

1. Tailored existing programmes – a cost-effective solution

All of our open enrolment or other pre-designed programmes can be slightly adapted and delivered in the location of your choice, exclusively for members of your organisation.
This option is cost-effective and draws on time-tested learning techniques and content that have proven their impact on management development.

Examples of pre-designed programmes that can be customised:

2. From off-the-shelf offerings to brand-new solutions

Programmes can also be designed and delivered with an increasing degree of customisation: from using existing session material and schemes, to developing content from scratch.
Although designing and developing materials for a brand-new solution require more in-depth analysis, this approach answers your particular needs optimally.

Take a look at some examples of custom programmes we developed for Swift, Bekaert, TNO, Umicore and Campbell’s.

3. Consortium programmes – the best of both worlds

A consortium programme gathers together groups of participants from a limited number of companies that are pursuing similar management development objectives. Partnering companies agree on the programme's content and design, with elements of customisation that allow each group to focus on their own organisation.

The added value of this approach:

  • the opportunity to exchange best practices from inside and outside the organisational environment
  • exchange of experiences and development of external and internal networks

An example of a consortium programme is the Consortium Middle Management Programme including: Janssen Pharmaceutica, Electrabel, Belgacom, Elia.

4. Facilitation Management - Guidance of workshops

Companies who want the knowledge of faculty directly being used in their decision process, can let their workshop or meeting being guided by our faculty. The method is hence: you bring your industry experience, we’ll ask the nasty questions, and by the way: we bring our management knowledge and will check for inconsistencies…

The added value of this approach:

Teaching at Vlerick offers faculty a tremendous exposure to the business world. New contacts, questions and potential collaborations arise daily. Through the close interaction between professors and executives, the real challenges of doing business today are evident. The faculty is an online user guide of best practices of the business community outside the organisation.

Some examples of facilitation management were performed for Brady (pdf, 86 kB), Danone, Bekaert, KPMG, Bank van Breda.
