Creative learning methods

Vlerick focuses on developing solutions that strengthen long-term behaviour by consolidating newly acquired competencies. In all of our training programmes, we promote synthesis of theory and practice and direct embedding of the learning into the participant’s own working environment. Knowledge, competences, attitudes and motivation are shaped and enhanced by the specific pedagogical model and context.

Depending on the subject of the session, the participants’ learning styles, the partner’s preference and the programme objective, we use a variety of delivery methods and learning techniques such as:

  • case studies,
  • presentations,
  • (best) practices,
  • role-play,
  • (integrative) simulation games (see Business Games & Tools)
  • experiential learning opportunities,
  • assessment tools,
  • questionnaires,
  • testimonials from business professionals,
  • outdoor activities, ...

Interaction and debate are central to all of the programmes organised by Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. The structured, yet informal, setting provides the opportunity for (experiential) learning in a non-threatening and stimulating environment. All of these elements make a Vlerick programme an inspiring experience that lays the foundations for innovation and entrepreneurship.
