How to Develop a Digital Strategy
Prof Steve Muylle from Vlerick Business School shares 4 guidelines to help you develop your digital strategy.
1. A bad digital strategy is worse than no digital strategy.
Develop a digital strategy that delivers results, financial as well as others.
2. The more complex your products or services, the more opportunity for digital strategy.
Compelling customer experiences to address complex customer needs for education, training, testing, configuration, analysis, and servicing can be created online, on social media, and on mobile.
3. Don’t be on social. Be social.
Don’t use social tools instead of lead generation, branding, customer service, co-creation, etc. - use social tools to revamp existing processes and have customers experience your people.
4. Read digital body language.
Chart customer journeys and be there at the moments that matter. Redesign the set of processes that help customers move to the next step of their journey with you.
