Ideas and techniques to increase your organisation’s performance through a process-based approach.

BPM_WSThe BPM Workshop is an interactive, 3-day how-to workshop, where participants learn how to apply process-management techniques effectively in a real business environment.

During this workshop, participants develop a complete case in small groups and with professional guidance – starting with creating a strategic vision for process management, and then analysing the current situation, modelling the to-be process, drawing up the action points of an implementation plan, and measuring the performance of the processes.

After this programme

As a result of this programme, you will be able to:

  • Analyse the core business of your organisation, identify the core processes and clarify their true objectives;
  • Spot opportunities for cost reductions, performance improvements and innovation, directly impacting the quality, customer service, productivity and financial performance of your organisation;
  • Make concrete recommendations for improving processes and avoiding common causes of failure;
  • Conceptualise the fundamentals of process management in a holistic view.

Who should attend?

Typical participant profiles include:

  • Functional managers (middle and executive levels) who are looking for a BPM ‘Big Picture’
  • Process analysts and managers, from a business or IT perspective
  • Middle managers responsible for (a part of) a business process
  • Auditors, interim managers and change managers interpreting and communicating about processes
  • Services and production personnel, private or public sector

The Vlerick approach

  • Our hands-on approach enables you to understand the full business process management cycle. A case situation allows you to put theory immediately into practice, as you team up to improve the processes of an invented, but very realistic, organisation.
  • Each session goes beyond the key principles to address specific business practices and reusable methods and techniques that are needed to optimise results throughout the definition, analysis, design and implementation phases of process management.

The English edition of the workshop is offered in residential mode as we have an evening session planned, as well as an informal evening activity. The residential seminar environment creates a more intensive learning setting, in which participants get to know each other, facilitating rapport and group interaction.  If you register before 15 March, Vlerick reserves a bed-and-breakfast hotel (2 nights) for you, which is as early-bird action included in the programme fee. If you register after 15 March, the hotel is not booked and hotel costs are not included in the programme. Of course, we can advise you on hotels to look at if you would like to book a B&B or hotel.
