As a manager you would probably not conceive yourself as being an “entrepreneur”. However, in your daily work routine you often have a responsibility to explore ideas for new products or services in order to sustain growth. To translate these ideas into successful business opportunities you have to overcome different sources of uncertainty. Further, you need to convince others of the potential of your idea. To perform these activities successfully, it is useful to look at best practices of entrepreneurs as they employ specific methods and routines to overcome barriers to successful opportunity identification, evaluation and implementation.
