Full-time MBA 2008
I realize how much I have grown from the person I was a year ago
Katia Muñoz , Mexico
Studying my MBA at Vlerick was a hectic time attending 6 hrs of classes per day, meeting with work and interest groups, going to seminars, to networking cocktails, mentorship gatherings and job fairs. It was exciting being part of a World Bank debate, going with my MBA colleagues to Fordham University in New York, and using my project management skills during my in-company project. I got used to pick up the Financial Times before classes, to do team work through MSN Messenger at 2.30 a.m., to see dark rings under my eyes, and to take naps during breaks … I was learning to be everywhere, opening ears and eyes to all type of information.
One of the aspects of the MBA at Vlerick was networking. Personally, I think that the base of networking is to be open to meet all type of people in a relaxed way. I am sure that having a simple, comfortable conversation will finally lead to find a useful contact, rather than to almost stalk someone.
Now that I am in search of professional opportunities, I realize how much I have grown from the person I was a year ago. It may not be clear for most of you now, but the best of your time at Vlerick will be to discover more about yourself!
