MBA Recruitment day

for MBA students and recruiting companies

This event is held exclusively for our MBA students and the companies who recruit them.

Recruiting on this MBA day is an effective and efficient way to hire both for traineeships and full-time positions in one convenient location.  You will talk to highly-qualified and educated candidates eager to interview with your company.  You will be able to choose from more than 50 students in our Full-Time International MBA Program. 

In addition, companies can create awareness for the possible career paths/positions in their company, which students may not have considered prior to this event.

This on-campus interview day allows the interviewing department to test the impressions created by the student’s CV, to gather additional information about the candidate and to introduce the candidate to their organisation.  In addition the MBA recruitment day allows a more direct assessment of a candidate’s social skills, poise, responsiveness, alertness and energy.

Our participants are interested in international posts in Europe and beyond.  Many companies cross-recruit at this event for positions in their global organisation.

Here’s How it Works

The recruitment day allows companies to pre-select our MBA students based on our CV book and invite these students for an interview.  In this way companies can match their needs with our candidate’s talents, strengths and interests. 

Register to Attend
Reserve a position at this event by expressing your desire to attend to our Career Services Manager (mary.roll@vlerick.be).  Our Career Services Manager will guide you through the on-campus interviewing process by requesting your official registration form (see download centre) be filled prior to the event, sending you the CV book of our full-time MBA students for pre-selection, notifying the students you select for interviews and scheduling the student interview time for the day of the event.

Submit Invitational Lists
Select the students you wish to interview from our CV Book and submit an interview request to our Career Services Manager.  Please select the length of your interview slots (30, 45 and 60 minute sessions) or any other recruiting need you may require. 

You will also submit a (generic or specific) job description for each position for which you are interviewing so that students can prepare for the interview. Selected students will be notified of your invitation to interview.

Conduct Interviews
On the day of the event you will meet with students for either 30, 45, 60 minute sessions in private interview rooms on our international MBA campus in Leuven.  If so desired you may request back-to-back interviews allowing you and your colleagues to host two consecutive interviews with each student.

Interview Rooms and Promotional Materials
Each company will be provided with an interview room containing minimum a table and chairs.  You will be allocated an interview room depending on how many interviewers you bring with you and if you would like to hold consecutive interviews.

Please feel free to bring promotional materials to the event to display inside your interview room.  Company posters can also be hung on the glass wall of your interview room to increase your visibility.

A sandwich lunch and beverages are included for the companies who participate.
