Recruitment
One of the key roles of the Career Services office is to ensure that you receive the information, advice and assistance necessary to obtain the best possible job. The MBA Career Services Office focuses its energy on building relationships with employers and creating an environment where recruiters can match their needs to our students needs.
We help you build relationships with the corporate world through the following activities:
- Career Fairs: Our Financial & Consulting Fair along with our General Career Fair will provide you with an opportunity to network with business professionals from a wide variety of industries.
- Company Presentations: On-campus or off-campus presentations are held by numerous international companies in order to have the opportunity to interact with our students in an informal manner. These companies will inform you about their business activities, the career paths of their employees and the career opportunities available to you in their organisations.
- MBA Recruitment Day: International companies hand-select students from our MBA talent pool to discuss current career opportunities in their organisations on this day. Students in turn are allowed to request an audience with participating companies.
- CV Book: The MBA Career Services Office actively markets the student profiles through the production of our MBA Recruitment Guide which is placed on-line and distributed to corporations around the globe.
- Networking Events: In addition to the events organised directly by the Career Services Office, the School and our Alumni Association hold a series of networking events with our Vlerick Alumni, Faculty, Executive and Part-time MBA participants.
- On-line Job Opportunities: Our Careers Website contains numerous job opportunities and information pertinent to MBA level job seekers. Similarly we have partnerships with a number of external organisations to enhance the quality of job postings(e.g. Carnet Alliance, Going Global and QS Top MBA).
Ultimately students are responsible for securing their own career progress. The most important factors in getting the first job after the MBA are: personal strengths, achievements, previous experience, determination and a pro-active approach to the pursuit of you personal career goals.
