The School and the Community

Throughout your period of study in the Vlerick MBA you will be one of a group of 5 participants working to prepare a community or environment based project which you will implement during the July / August break. 

The parameters of the project have to be developed by your group and must obtain the approval of the programme director. The plan should include a realistic assessment of the financial and other resources needed to complete the implementation phase. It should also show how these resources are to be raised.  This is a major opportunity to ground a balance of behaviour – between traditional profit centred activity and sustainable social and environmental development – in our MBA graduates.

In the past projects have centred on assisting education institutions in developing countries. However the intention is to broaden the range of GSB projects to cover development and environment assistance.

Participants will present the rationale and results of their projects to the class in September before graduation.
