Behzad Samii

Behzad Samii studies how to design better supply chains for the future - especially how to build the intelligent decision making backbones that process the data provided by advanced technologies (such as RFID and smart meters) to positively impact agility, resilience and performance of value chains.

He combines years of management experience in computer hardware architecture and smart sensing technologies with the theoretical mathematical modelling and optimisation to solve real-life problems in energy supply chains, health care operations and complex smart grid implementations.

Professor Samii has developed innovative operations and supply chain management modules for customised programmes, courses in resilient supply chains and revenue management for Executive Master Classes and an MBA module on supply chain sustainability.

Behzad enjoys working with graduate students to shape their final theses; an opportunity to bridge between rigorous academic research and applied industry projects.
