Thomas Matthys

Profile

Thomas Matthys obtained a Master degree in Banking and Finance from Ghent University in 2012. He also holds a Master in Commercial Sciences (2011) from University College Ghent. His research focuses on interconnectedness within the financial sector and the resulting impact on bank-to-bank lending decisions. In 2016, Thomas was a visiting scholar at Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business (Washington, D.C., USA) for six months. Later that year, he was a visiting scholar at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (Ispra, Italy) for 1 month.
