Email Archiving Common Questions
On this page, we group some common questions regarding the email archive solution.
- Question
When viewing an archived email in the Reading Pane, I do not see the content of the email.
Answer
This is normal behaviour. When an email is archived, the attachments and the body of the email will be stripped off the original mail.
Attachments will be replaced by a link to the original attachment.
To read your email message, please double click the email to open it.

This is normal behaviour. To avoid new email is archived immediately, shortcuts to emails older then 6 months are removed from your mailbox.
However, these emails remain available in your archive, via the Archive Explorer or Search Vaults button.
- Question
When deleting all archived email from a folder, I cannot delete the empty folder itself.
Answer
It is indeed not possible to delete a folder from your archive yourself.
This is a server operation which is scheduled once a month. During this schedule, folders which contains no archived emails are removed automatically.
