How do I forward my e-mail to my non-Vlerick account?
1. General
You can create a rule which forwards your Vlerick e-mail to an other mail box. Follow this procedure to set up such a rule.
2. Steps
- Log on to your webmail
- Click 'Rules' and click 'New'
The tab rules can be found in the navigation on the left.

- Enter a name for your rule (optional)
- At the bottom, select the option 'Forward it to'
Type in the e-mail address to who you want your e-mail forwarded to.
Switch off the checkbox 'Keep a copy in my Inbox'

- Hit the 'Save and Close' button (upper left corner of this window).
3. Notes
-
The Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School assumes no responsibility for e-mail that is forwarded to a non-Vlerick account. Vlerick highly recommends that users use their Vlerick e-mail account to view campus-related messages and to communicate with faculty, staff, and students.
Warning
Vlerick can not recover lost e-mail or support any problems that may occur after forwarding. It is possible that some users may lose important e-mail messages due to forwarding. Some reasons could be: full mailboxes, invalid e-mail addresses, attachment blocking, and SPAM filters which block good e-mail messages. - Rules are not available from non-Internet Explorer browsers (Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox).
- When you "forward" your e-mail to an external account, the forwarded message will arrive with "you" as the sender. For this reason, you should take care when replying to the message.
In case of a problem do not hesitate to contact the helpdesk at +32 92 10 97 24.
