How can I create my Outlook profile?
1. General
This FAQ file describes how you can set up your Outlook mailbox.
2. Normal setup
- If you log on the first time on your computer, Outlook will ask you to
create your profile.

- Click 'Yes'.
Outlook will start up and your profile is automatically created.
Note:
If you do not see this Outlook profile box, please open an
Altiris call.
3. Manual setup
In some cases, it is needed to manually set up your
profile.
Follow the steps below to do so.
- Go to Start > Control Panel > Mail.

Click the button 'Show Profiles'

- Click 'Add'.

Fill in the name "Default Outlook Profile" and
click 'OK'.

Choose the option 'Add a new e-mail account' and
click 'Next'.

Select the option 'Microsoft Exchange Server' and
click 'Next'.

Fill in the Microsoft Exchange Server : "mail.vlerick.be"
and your User Name.

Click the button 'More Settings' and go to the tab
'Advanced'.

- Click the button 'Offline Folder File Settings'.

Check if your username is located in the file path.
Replace the text %USERNAME% by your username:
Not ok : ‘D:\users\<%username%>\mail\...
Ok : ‘D:\users\wimpou\mail\... (in this example)

- Click 'OK' twice.
- Click 'Next' and click 'Finish'.
- Close all open windows and start up Outlook.
- Your mailbox will be prepared for first use.
