How can I check my SPAM messages?

  1. Summary
  2. First-time login
  3. Reading your SPAM
  4. Recover SPAM messages
  5. Delete SPAM messages

1. Summary

A SPAM e-mail is kept for 14 days. After that time, the e-mail is permanent deleted and is not retrievable.

2. First-time login

Activate your account

  1. Open a browser window.
  2. In the Address field, type https://quarantine.messaging.microsoft.com.
  3. The Login window displays.
  4. Type your complete e-mail address in the Username field (for example, helpdesk@vlerick.be).
  5. Leave the Password field blank.
  6. Click 'Log On'.
  7. You will receive an e-mail with a temporary password.

Login with temporary password

  1. At the Login screen, type your 'Username' (if not saved previously).
  2. Type your temporary password in the 'Password' field.
  3. Click 'Log on'.
  4. You are asked to change your password.
  5. Type a new password.
  6. Click 'Save'.
  7. From this point forward, log in using the password you created.
  8. If you forget your password, use the 'Forgot password?' link from the login screen.

3. Reading your SPAM

Once you have logged into SPAM Quarantine, the 'Message List' window displays all of your SPAM messages.

Navigating in the Message List window

  • If you have multiple pages of e-mail, to view successive pages, click the forward arrow.
  • You can also select a range of messages to view from the 'Show messages' drop-down list.

  • You can change how many messages are displayed on a page. The default is 25. To change the default, select a new number from the 'Messages per page' drop-down list.

Individual messages

  • To view an individual message, click on the 'Subject Line' of that message.
  • Once you are viewing a SPAM e-mail, you can move to the previous or next message by clicking the arrow buttons.

  • To return to the full 'Message List', click on the 'Message List' button.

4. Recover SPAM messages

Messages that were considered as SPAM by SPAM Quarantine but are not really SPAM according to you i.e. the so-called false-positives can be recovered.

You can do this with one or multiple messages at once.

Salvaged messages are also submitted to Frontbridge for filter adjustment evaluation to potentially allow the message through in the future.

  1. Select the e-mail by clicking the check box. You can select multiple e-mails by clicking the corresponding check boxes, or all by clicking on 'Sender' or 'Select All'.

  2. From the drop-down list, select 'Salvage selected messages'. This forwards the selected messages to your e-mail Inbox.
  3. Click 'Go'. The screen refreshes based on your selection.

Within the message window, the same drop-down list is available.

5. Deleting your SPAM

You are not required to delete any SPAM. FrontBridge will delete an e-mail held in SPAM Quarantine after it has been contained for 15 days.
You can delete individual e-mail messages by clicking the 'Delete' link to the right of the Date/Time Stamp.
'Delete selected messages'
: this deletes the messages you selected in the check boxes.
'Delete ALL messages'
: this deletes all the messages in the Message List view.
