Ann Vereecke

Ann Vereecke heeft veel ervaring in het lesgeven en onderzoek in het domein van operations management, manufacturing strategie en supply chain management. Ze is actief betrokken in executive teaching, onderzoek en adviserende projecten voor verscheidene bedrijven zoals Aliaxis, AB Inbev, Bekaert, Bostik, Carrefour, Corus, Etex, Goodman, Imperial Tobacco, Johnson & Johnson, Möbius Consulting, Tessenderlo Group, Umicore, YKK en de European Petrochemical Association. Op de Vlerick Business School startte ze het Centrum voor Supply Chain Excellence op.

Profiel

Ann Vereecke is professor in Operations en Supply Chain Management aan Vlerick Business School en Universiteit Gent. Ze is partner en Faculty Dean aan Vlerick Business School. Ze studeerde af als ingenieur aan Universiteit Gent en behaalde daar ook haar doctoraat in 1997. Tijdens haar doctoraatsstudie was Ann doctoraatstudente aan INSEAD (Frankrijk).

Ann geeft les in Operations en Supply Chain Management aan de MBA en Master studenten aan Vlerick Business School. Ze is ook actief betrokken in verschillende executive programma’s en onderzoeksprojecten voor bedrijven uit allerlei sectoren (oa. Aliaxis, AB Inbev, Bekaert, Bostik, Carrefour, Corus, Etex, Goodman, Imperial Tobacco, Johnson & Johnson, Möbius Consulting, Tessenderlo Group, Umicore, YKK en EPCA, de Europese Assocatie voor de Petrochemie). Ze was ook gastprofessor aan Rotterdam School of Management.

Haar voornaamste interesses zijn Supply Chain Management en Manufacturing Strategy, in het bijzonder internationale manufacturing strategie. Ann publiceerde talrijke artikels in deze domeinen. Ze is bestuurslid en ex-voorzitter van EurOMA (European Operations Management Association), bestuurslid van POMS (de Production and Operations Management Society in de VS) and was ook bestuurslid en vicevoorzitter van het Vlaams Instituut voor de Logistiek. Ann is ook lid van de raad van uitgevers van sommige academische tijdschriften, onder andere ‘International Journal of Operations and Production Management’.
