Jeroen Neckebrouck is doctoraatsstudent aan Vlerick Business School en Universiteit Gent en bestudeert corporate governance in overnames en familiebedrijven, en de modererende rol van private equity investeerders. Hij heeft een evenwichtige academische achtergrond in technologie, business en finance. Zo behaalde hij het diploma van burgerlijk ingenieur aan Universiteit Gent (2009) en additionele masters in industrieel management en bedrijfseconomie (2010). Tot 2012 werkte hij als management consultant.

Naast zijn onderzoeksactiviteiten, is Jeroen ook een drijvende kracht achter het Entrepreneurial Buyout Platform van Vlerick Business School. Dit Platform heeft als doel overnames te promoten naar potentiële ondernemers door kennis over succesvolle buyouts te promoten, ontwikkelen en verspreiden.
