Her second term of 4 years will officially start in August. This decision followed upon the positive recommendation of both the Partner Council as well as the Board of Directors of the school, and with an overwhelming support from all stakeholders and faculty.

Marion Debruyne has gladly accepted to remain at the helm of Vlerick Business School: “It truly is a privilege to serve as Dean of Vlerick Business School. I am honoured and grateful to have the support of the Vlerick community. I look forward to build further momentum based on the many new initiatives we started, together with all Vlerick staff, students and alumni.”

Roch Doliveux, Chairman of the Board of Directors, says: “We are delighted that Professor Marion Debruyne has been re-elected Dean of Vlerick Business School, with unanimous support from all the stakeholders, and that is well deserved. Under Marion’s leadership, Vlerick Business School solidified its leadership in Benelux, and is well positioned to become a European magnet that attracts enterprising leaders, sparks their passion and channels it into a positive force for change in business and society.

Marion Debruyne’s first term was characterised by the launch of new programmes: the Masters in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, the Masters in International Management & Strategy, a Doctorate in Business Administration programme (DBA) in collaboration with KU Leuven and Ghent University, and the launch of Vlerick’s ‘digital campus’ with amongst others a 100% online MBA programme. She also successfully shaped the integration of the Alumni Association into the school.

The faculty and staff at Vlerick Business School are very grateful that Marion has eagerly accepted to continue to serve the School as Dean and they look forward to supporting her continuously during her upcoming term.
