In order to stay at the forefront of developments in energy technologies and power systems across Europe and the rest of the world, we continually monitor and engage with the world’s leading universities, adapting and deploying research for the benefit of our clients.

“Therefore, we are proud to announce a partnership with Vlerick Business School’s Energy Centre, one of Europe’s leading business academic centres, focussing uniquely on power systems operations. The opportunity to collaborate with Vlerick Business School on the future of our industry will enable us to implement best practice and continue to keep our clients ahead of their competition and ensure value for money in their investments. It’s our mission to increase productivity, reduce carbon emissions and integrate new technologies for the benefit of our clients, and this partnership will ensure we achieve this.”

Professor Leonardo Meeus, Director of the Vlerick Energy Centre, says: “Through this partnership, we will collaboratively work on further research that will help shape the future of the distributed energy market in the UK. In that respect, UK Power Networks Services’ Paul French also joined the new edition of our Future Power Grid Managers programme where he will have the opportunity to work together fellow experts from across Europe.”

UK Power Networks Services is Vlerick’s first and only UK-based corporate partner. They are joining an elite group of European corporate partners including Alliander, Eandis, Elia, Fluxys, KPMG and RTE.

Vlerick, in turn, can tap into the extensive ARE network of entrepreneurs, financiers, and public and private partners. As a first concrete result, the students taking part in our brand-new Renewable Energy boot camp will travel to the ARE conference in Lisbon to put their knowledge into action and solve a selection of participating social entrepreneurs’ real-life challenges.
