Vlerick Executive MBA remains number 1 in Belgium according to annual Financial Times ranking

  • Number 1 in Belgium
  • Number 2 in the Benelux
  • Number 27 in Europe
  • Number 78 in the world

In the most recent Financial Times ranking, the Executive MBA programme at Vlerick Business School confirms its position as the absolute number 1 in Belgium and number 2 in the Benelux.

“It's a great result,” says Professor Koen Dewettinck, Executive MBA Director at Vlerick Business School. “It confirms that our efforts to enhance the programme still further – both in terms of attracting high-quality profiles and in the area of diversity – are bearing fruit.”

The Executive MBA programme at Vlerick is spread across 2 full teaching days every 3 weeks and lasts a total of 18 months. We are the only school in the Benelux to offer a weekend formula, as well as a combined formula with lessons on Fridays and Saturdays.

A more detailed analysis mainly shows positive results in the areas of return on investment and the diversity of both professors and participants.
Koen Dewettinck explains: “In the first instance, the investment made by our participants in this programme is reflected in a very nice increase in salary. The average salary increase after graduation is just below 60%. This puts us among the absolute top in Europe and demonstrates that we set the bar extremely high for our participants. We are constantly on the lookout for strong profiles who will live up to their professional potential after graduation. We are also investing in good support for our participants, both during and after the programme.”

We also score well in terms of diversity. “We are focusing even more strongly on a true international MBA experience. Over 30% of our participants, as well as the professors who teach on the Executive MBA, are not Belgian. We are also delighted to note that more and more women are finding their way to our Executive MBA. Almost 30% of the participants are female.”

Finally, our alumni are also very pleased with the extent to which they have achieved their goals for taking an Executive MBA.

The next edition of the Executive MBA programme (weekend formula) starts on 11 January 2018. More info: [email protected].
