At the same time, another group of 115 students got an introduction to the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem in Berlin.

    During your Masters programme, you can participate in a 3-week boot camp to gain in-depth understanding of a specific sector. Traditional teaching is kept to a minimum, classrooms are flipped. No less than 52 students opted for the brand-new boot camp in Financial Services which zoomed in on how digital technology is disrupting the financial services sector and how new business models are emerging.

    End of March the Indian Embassy in Brussels welcomed an Indian delegation headed by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Besides the enthusiasm of a large group of current students from all over the world, two of our Indian full-time MBA students Arshvir Singh and Vivek Dhawan succeeded in congratulating Prime Minister Modi in person, as a token of their deepest appreciation and respect for his visionary leadership on business and education.

  4. Vlerick students win second prize in US sales competition

    Two of Vlerick’s Masters students have become second during the team round of the 18th National Collegiate Sales Competition in the US. It’s the largest and oldest sales competition in existence. Viktor Toye (Marketing Management) and Charlotte Naessens (General Management) competed individually in the first and third round and successfully joined forces in the second round which is open to teams only.

    Two teams of full-time MBA and Masters students from Vlerick Business School have advanced to the regional finals of the seventh annual Hult Prize, the world’s largest student competition and start-up platform for social good. This innovative crowdsourcing platform identifies and launches disruptive and catalytic social ventures that aim to solve the planet’s most pressing challenges. The 2016 Hult Prize asks entrepreneurs to create sustainable businesses that double the income of 10 million people living in crowded urban spaces.

  7. Vlerick students contribute to Ghent start-up EyeSee’s victory in New York innovation contest

    The Belgian company EyeSee recently won first prize in the Global Innovator Mobile competition in New York. This is a confirmation of the successful journey that this Ghent start-up has made over the past two years. At the moment, Vlerick students Annemie Duquet, Lisa De Wachter and Victor Moraes are working with EyeSee in New York to increase EyeSee’s sales in the US. This is their in-company project, which concludes their year of study for the Masters in General Management.

  8. Vlerick students become third in Battle of Talents

    Masters students Gaël Van Kerckhove, Maarten Schurmann, Jonas Eeckelaert, Arno De Pooter and Dieter Dhaenens became third in the 6th edition of Battle of Talents, the biggest online business plan competition for students and researchers in Flanders. They wrote a business plan for the “Medical Imaging Simulation”, their idea on an affordable and adequate tool for ultrasonic training for medical students.

    Vlerick Business School has advanced to the regional finals of the sixth Hult Prize Challenge. The annual HP Challenge is the world’s largest student competition and start-up platform for social good. In partnership with President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Global Initiative, the innovative crowdsourcing platform identifies and launches disruptive and catalytic social ventures that aim to solve the planet’s most pressing challenges.
