To build on the new School’s strategy and the talent pool needed to achieve our challenging objectives, we are looking for a HR Manager.

What can you expect?

  • You develop the HR strategy for all businesses, staff and researchers, and realise the School’s KPI’s together with a young and dynamic HR team.
  • You are a true business partner and advise and support the executive committee and line management in the implementation of all aspects of HRM.
  • You organise and plan the daily HR operations and implement coherent and transparent HR policies.
  • You drive and fine tune recent change projects and HR processes (e.g. reward, well-being, KPI’s, HR Online, Great Place to Work,…), and together with your team you create internal support for further implementation and anchoring the projects in the organisation.
  • You model the employee centred approach.
  • You report directly to the General Director of the School.
  • With your team, you design clear guidelines, define and deliver projects, organise and plan work, support where needed and aim for constructive group dynamics.
  • You coach and develop your team to enable each member to use his or her competencies, skills and expertise in the best possible way.
  • You guarantee an optimal HR communication through different channels including monthly newsletters and Yammer feeds.
  • You foster relations with the Vlerick Employee Forum representatives, the international focus group, government bodies and HR partners.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a master diploma with at least 8 years’ experience as an HR generalist in an international academic or business service environment.
  • You are an experienced HR professional with a sharp mind and a drive for “hard” and “soft” HR and you have a proven background in both.
  • You combine a critical and analytical way of working with an innovative and problem-solving attitude.
  • As strategic business partner, you show excellent coordination and organisational competences.
  • By combing your pragmatic and conceptual way of working and thinking, you can support your team and your partners in different departments.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, English and French.
  • You bring sufficient power and vision to represent an HR strategy and create a support base.
  • You are a people manager who communicates clearly and in a transparent way, who can present to the management team in a convincing way and who can motivate and develop his/her team.
  • You show a participative and coaching leadership style with a result- and solution focussed attitude.
  • An integer and trustworthy personality who builds respect in a self-evident way.
