Perceptions of fairness are a powerful predictor of workplace attitudes and behaviours – especially in response to negative events. Yet we all have different views of what “fair” means. In this evening lecture, Prof. David Patient sets out steps that managers can take.
After the lecture, please stay for drinks and networking.
More than 1500 academic studies show us that the steps we need to take to improve perceptions of fairness are often inexpensive and powerful. They include giving people a voice, showing respect and providing clear reasons for decisions and procedure.
This evening lecture will highlight how and why using principles of fairness is key to keeping people motivated and engaged – especially in tough and uncertain times.
