Belgian’s technology market has been booming in recent years, with many young scale-ups expanding internationally and attracting large sums of funding. The typical life cycle of these companies will eventually lead them towards exit opportunities.

But entrepreneurs can have many questions when confronted with such opportunities: is this the right timing? What kind of buyer or partner am I looking for? How do I value my company? Should I consult an M&A advisor?

Register to our event on 19th March and find out the answers from our speakers who have recently sold their companies successfully, all of them to international strategic partners. During this event they will share their story and experiences followed by a Q&A session and a networking reception.

Veroniek Collewaert – Professor of Entrepreneurship

Veroniek is an expert on start-and scale-ups and will provide an introduction on tech exits.

Jan-Willem Rombouts – Co-founder Restore

Jan-Willem gave up its job at Goldman Sachs to start Restore. Over a period of seven years they were able to attract different investors and became a leading player in energy management. In 2017, they sold the business to Centrica for €70m, a British energy group

Bram De Muer – Co-founder ICsense

Bram is co-founder of ICsense, a KULeuven spin-off and one of Europe’s premier microchip design companies. The company designs chips for remote controls and the WII console, amongst others. In 2017, ICsense was sold to TDK, a Japanese electronics company.

Erik de Keyser – Founder Bricsys

Erik started Bricsys in 2002 after leaving stock-listed Bricsnet, another company he founded. Bricsys is a leading player in CAD software, and more specifically AI for geometry. In 2018, Bricsys was sold to Hexagon, a Swedish company and global leader in its field.
