Meet the speakers:
Peter Van Riet: “Change is Fun”
Inventor, speaker, author, entrepreneur, innovator, thinker-out-of-the-box. But Belgian Peter Van Riet is probably best known as an internationally recognized designer and owner of Before the Wave. In his Venture Talk, Peter will talk about change. Change is what defines us, our brand, our business, our industry. He will approach change from a personal and a professional point of view, and explains how design is an approach to deal with change and to create meaning.
Johan van Mol: “Creativity in Action”
Johan van Mol is a Belgian strategist, entrepreneur, thinker and writer on innovation and design thinking. He is managing partner at Before the Wave. In his talk, Johan van Mol will highlight the nature of the creative thought process in innovation and design. And he will demonstrate some of the tools used at Studio Peter Van Riet, to turn creativity into meaningful stuff.
Tom Verlinden: “The making of Yun probiotherapy”
Tom Verlinden is the founder of YUN Ltd is a privately owned Belgian biotech company. YUN Probiotherapy is the result of over 10 years of research and development by the pharmaceutical technology, biopharmacy and microbiology departments from the University of Antwerp. This groundbreaking research led to the development of a new technology that takes care of common skin concerns with probiotherapy. Not only did Tom rely on hard science, he also relied on out-of-the-box design thinking to create his business model, his brand and his product experience.
