Arne Buchwald

Arne Buchwald’s research and teaching centre on the interface of business administration and information systems. His recent research has focused on the role of Chief Digital Officer, blockchain technology, bootlegging (bottom-up employee-driven innovations), and IT governance. And his results have been published in internationally-renowned journals. 

Arne teaches a variety of digital technology-related courses on Vlerick’s Masters and MBA programmes. He also contributes to our Mastering IT Management programme and our Executive Master Class in Supply Chain Management.

Before entering academia, Arne was a consultant with Horváth & Partners Management Consultants in the CIO & Project Advisory unit. He also founded his own B2B IT company that offered technological consulting services and data centre solutions.
