The Dream story of Germain Bahri

At the age of 18, Germain Bahri moved to the USA on a sports scholarship to follow his childhood dream of becoming a professional tennis player.

When pursuing a business career became his primary dream, Germain decided that a degree at Vlerick (Masters in Financial Management, 2016) would be an ideal way to transition from America to Europe.

His Vlerick studies gave him the chance to visit London and several prominent start-ups, and that’s when his passion for innovation really caught fire. Today, Germain works for Fidor Bank, a digital-only bank that offers innovative and easy-to-use banking solutions.

“Today, there are still about 2 billion people in the world who do not have access to a bank account,” Germain says. “We’re committed to changing the way financial services are designed and delivered in order to contribute to a better world of finance for everyone.”

Key message:
“I would like to advise MFM participants to study the financial industry deeply, find out what it’s all about − and to discover what really drives them personally, what fulfils them and makes them complete.”
