City Sights

Ghent combines the intimacy of a small town with the openness of a world city. Aside from that, the city scores high on Charles Landry’s Creative City Index. Ghent also has one of Europe’s most dynamic festival scenes, with festivals like the International Filmfestival, the Light Festival as well as the "Gentse Feesten". De "Gentse Feesten/Ghent festivities" is the biggest and most popular free cultural festival in Europe with music, theatre, puppet players, street artists, etc. You can find more information on the city of Ghent: www.visitgent.be. This is exactly why Ghent is mentioned as one of the 10 reasons why Belgium is not boring!
