Detailed programme

The programme consists of 2 modules − both of which focus on the long-term success of your family and business. Each day starts with cases and discussion with the other participants, together or by generation. Every afternoon ends with 2 confidential sessions for your family: one with a coach, and one amongst yourselves. The evenings are filled with discussions and practical examples − accompanied by refreshments.

Module 1

  • Intro: The long-term success of family businesses
  • The dynamics of family businesses through the generations
  • Working together, communication and conflict management
  • Governance in the family business system
    • The Family – values, charter, family council, …
    • The Shareholdership – choices, duties, representation, …
    • The Board of Directors – composition, role with regard to the family, role with regard to the business
  • Everyone’s role as family member, shareholder, director or manager

Module 2

  • Follow-up and continuity from the perspective of the current and upcoming generations, active and non-active family members
  • Specific topics according to the needs of the participating families
  • Conditions for long-term success from generation to generation

Therefore, experienced family business coaches and experts work with your family to help you define your own specific challenges and goals, facilitate a common vision, and develop an effective approach in the form of an action plan.
