Detailed Programme

This programme’s uniqueness lies in its combination of different learning formats (online and on-campus) and strong focus on applying what you learn on the work floor.

Module 1: Introduction to change (± 4 hours online)

  • From a sequential to an inclusive approach towards change
  • The Vlerick ‘6 batteries of change model’, including a quick scan of your own organisation
  • Assignment: Identifying your personal change project

Module 2: Leading change (2 days on-campus)

  • The rational batteries of the Vlerick ‘6 batteries of change model’
  • The emotional batteries of the Vlerick ‘6 batteries of change model’
  • Hands-on coaching by our faculty during your personal change project
  • An overview of the actions to take to set up a change project in your organisation
  • A toolbox with templates to use in you

Module 3: Comeback day (4 hours)

After a period of 2-3 months – during which you work on your Change Master Plan – you have the chance to exchange challenges and successes regarding your personal Change Master Plan with your fellow participants. This is the perfect opportunity for exchanging experiences and giving each other feedback.

A learning experience like no other

When you come to Vlerick, you step away from your usual routine and gain a wider perspective. You discover how to tackle challenges, turn your knowledge into action and apply your skills in your workplace. You learn from faculty who are experts in their fields – and from a diverse group of peers. All these things help you become a confident, skilled professional, ready to succeed in business – and in life.

  1. What is... your reflected best self?

We often get the advice to just be ourselves. However, it requires a large amount of self-knowledge to know who you are authentically. Your reflected best self is your individual mental picture of the qualities and characteristics that are on display when you are at your best. But how do you construct this mental picture? And what are the trigger events that contain new pieces of information to add to the picture? Professor and Dean Marion Debruyne explains.
  2. What is... the competency trap?

Is it better to invest in further developing and refining your strengths, or should you go for the tough track and overcome your weaknesses? Most of us prefer the former. Because it feels so much better to further develop what you are already good at. But by overinvesting in our strengths, we also take less time to learn other important new skills. Professor Katleen De Stobbeleir explains how to overcome this so-called competency trap.
