Detailed Programme
The boot camp consists of two stages and takes place in two locations – London and Brussels. Throughout the boot camp, you’ll explore frameworks and concepts and apply them to your idea. As you build your business plan, world-class industry experts and academics will challenge it – helping you turn it into a robust, commercial offer.
The boot camp includes three content blocks:
- Value Creation in Health Markets
- Value Capture
- Value Delivery
After each block, you’ll have the opportunity to refine your idea with the help of coaches and experts. You’ll also present your idea to your fellow participants and get valuable feedback.
Week one: London
In this first week you’ll focus on problem solving. You’ll assess the full potential impact of your technology or idea and how it creates better and healthier lives. And you’ll work on your pitching skills by testing yourself in the Imperial College Impact LabTM.
Week two: Brussels
The second week of the boot camp takes place in Brussels with a.o. a visit to Health HouseTM. You’ll focus on designing your business plan and learning how to secure the best sources of funding for your venture.
At the end of the boot camp, you’ll pitch your final idea in front of a Dragon’s Den style jury of venture capitalists, business school professors and health sector experts. Depending on your performance, you might be awarded the direct wild card that entitles you to have your case evaluated by the Caring Entrepreneurship Fund’s investment committee.
